Today, we’re going to discuss a couple of popular questions & why I will never answer them (and why you shouldn’t either!)
Every time I do a Q + A or I’m scrolling through the comments, I come across a lot of different questions that fall into the category of gossiping or “tea spilling” (which is something I literally do quite often–I drink a lot of tea and I’m a generally clumsy person). However, I don’t metaphorically do it. In this video, I talk about why I’ll never answer the questions “What Broadway Musical Do You Hate the Most?”, “What was the Worst Show You’ve Ever Been In?”, or anything else along those lines.
Like I mention in the vid, the first half is a combo of personal preference and truth. Of course, there are some musicals I love more than others, but I wouldn’t say that I really ‘hate’ any. And also–it’s okay! You don’t have to LOVE every single musical ever to be a musical theatre fan. Back to the Ice Cream analogy of my FAKE MUSICAL THEATRE FANS + BASIC BROADWAY SHOWS video, just because you don’t like Pistachio ice cream doesn’t mean that you’re a fake ice cream fan. It just means that you don’t like Pistachio ice cream.
That being said, as the person who creates these videos & topics each week, I think it’s pointless and mean to focus on what we don’t like. Again, back to ice cream. If I was an Ice Cream Youtuber, imagine if I made a whole video on how much I disliked Pistachio ice cream. Not only would it exclude and probably hurt fans of Pistachio ice cream, but it would just be mean. There’s already enough negativity in the world, why would I bring more in? We have a choice–focus on the bad stuff or focus on the good stuff. I’m a fan of the second one.
Part 2 of the video is just straight up career advice,
