The multi-purpose dining room and gym at the Pink Houses Community Center in East New York, Brooklyn is currently serving no purpose at all.
The heat here – according to senior tenants – has been inconsistent…in other words, usually not working – for the last several weeks.
So lunch and other activities for warm blooded seniors like long time Pink Houses resident Sabel Cameron now take place in a cozier – but much smaller – meeting room.
