The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual depicted in the attached video and photograph in connection to a robbery that occurred within the confines of the 83 Precinct. Details are as follows:
It was reported to police that on Wednesday October 4, 2017, at approximately 8:20 a.m. in front of 225 Starr Street, the individual approached the 17 year-old male victim from the rear, displayed a handgun and demanded his cell phone. The individual then struck the victim numerous times in the head with the gun until the victim fell to the ground. A good Samaritan came to the victim’s aid and the two managed to fight off the individual and took the gun away from him. The individual then fled eastbound on Starr Street with the victim’s cell phone. The victim suffered lacerations to his face and head; he was treated at Wyckoff Hospital.
The individual is described as:
• A male Hispanic, 15 to 20 years old, 5’4″ to 5’6″
Last seen wearing:
• A black hooded sweater, a dark colored coat, black jeans and black sneakers
