Back in March, the New York City Council voted in favor of Mayor De Blasio’s Mandatory Inclusionary Housing Plan to provide more affordable homes across the city, yet families are still being priced out of their Northern Manhattan neighborhoods.
On this episode of “Represent NYC,” Assemblyman Linares discusses rent regulation and tenant rights. Joining Linares to share resources that can help renters are Community Engagement Director Karina Jimenez of Mayor DeBlasio’s Tenant Support Unit, staff attorney Jason Wu of Legal Aid’s Housing Development Unit and Tom Honan from Manhattan Legal Services.
Tune in to an all-new episode of “Represent NYC” this Sunday at 7 pm and Wednesday at 9 pm on MNN1 (TWC 34 & 1995, RCN 82, FiOS 33) and MNN’s new HD Community Channel (TWC 1993) or stream it live on mnn.org!
